Lima
Founded by Conqueror Francisco Pizarro in 1535, Lima is a cosmopolitan city of about 8 million inhabitants, bustling with life during the day and night with plenty to offer for all tastes. The beautiful historical city center boasts buildings dating back to colonial days, when Lima was known as the "City of Kings". Lima’s history and culture are well documented and represented by its museums famous for their gold and weapons collections and the nearby archeological ruins left by the millenial culture of the Incas.
